Anxious? Fearful?

Anxious feelings
You're not alone, as most people struggle with Anxiety throughout their lives, certainly during trying times.  God reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7  "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." Now this can sound 'too good to be true', but we can tell from experience, God's absolutely faithful. You need to understand that God wants you to know that you can bring anything to Him in prayer, telling Him how you feel, what you think, even asking Him questions and He doesn't get upset with you.  And as you give our anxiety and fears over to Him, remembering just how good He has been in the past, you'll begin to feel a peace that is amazing. That peace of knowing He's with you through your struggles and determined to bring you through them. A peace that things are going to be more than okay, even if they work out differently than you'd like.
If you're dealing with Anxiety and fear, we'd love to simply listen to your story, encourage you and pray for you, giving God room to actually change things and give you hope.

Worried about Money?

Money, if not handled well, is one of those things that can truly damage your life, marriage and focus or it can be a true place of freedom and strength, but it's all based on what you do with it.  Far too many people have found themselves in a place of extreme debt, which can feel overwhelming and hopeless, but we know that God has ways to get us out of those situations, so that our finances can actually become a place of joy and generosity that even touches other lives.
Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.  25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? 28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much more clothe you—you of little faith?
If you're in a place where your finances feel simply 'out of control' or you'd really like to make sure you're handling debt and bills appropriately, we'd like to help walk you through the 'steps' that can turn things around.  It won't be a quick fix, but it will help you 'stop the bleeding' and make a plan that will lift you from where you are now and set you up financial stability.  There's no charge for any of this, but you will have to face a few tough decisions, stay the course and start the journey...a journey that God wants to walk you through.
Worry about money

Do you feel worthless & insignificant?

In a world as confused as ours is today, many people find themselves lost and feeling a bit worthless. It's not an abnormal thing to ask the question, "Why am I here?" and "Do I matter?"  The wonderful news is that there is an answer, but it's not found in religion or money or success or the eyes of others...it's actually in the place it should be...in the heart and plans of the One who created you...God!
In the Bible, the book of Jeremiah, a young, scared and insecure man, God says this to him; 1:4I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”
You can look so many places to try to find value and purpose, but God actually placed those very precious things inside you when He created you. You're not a mistake! You're not worthless! The world would not be a better place without you!!!  You see, you're precious to God and He wants to help you to understand your purpose on this earth and in this life.  You matter to Him!!
Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."

Marriage Struggling?

Help with marriages
God has amazing plans for every marriage!..even if we struggle at times to see it clearly.  Husbands and wives are different people and that's good!  You see things differently, respond differently, think differently and simply process things differently.  Given all the differences, how's this thing supposed to work?!?
Well, your differences are meant to be your strength, not weakness.  You see God intended for you to be a 'team' in your marriage and, though you are different, you're in this together. For example, a husband who is always looking at things down the road, he needs a wife that helps him stop and smell the roses along the way. Unfortunately, we can get stuck on how different we are and forget that's the very reason you were drawn to each other in the first place.
Marriage takes work and commitment, from both sides and...it's worth every effort! With God at the center of it and a solid church family praying and standing with you through the tough times, your marriage can be incredible.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 - Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
If you'd like prayer, counsel and perspective for your marriage, to simply make it better or to help you through a 'rough patch', please reach out today or come visit us this Sunday.

More of God's great promises to His people

He is always with us!
Hebrews 13:5 Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”  6 So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear.  What can mere people do to me?”

He created us for incredible things!
Jeremiah 1:4 The Lord gave me this message:
5 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” 6 “O Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I can’t speak for you! I’m too young!”
7 The Lord replied, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you.

8 And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

He is faithful, loving & forgiving beyond measure!
Psalm 103:3 He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.
4 He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
5 He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!
6 The Lord gives righteousness and justice to all who are treated unfairly.
7 He revealed his character to Moses and his deeds to the people of Israel.
8 The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
9 He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever.
10 He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.
11 For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.
12 He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.
