HISTORY
Equipped Church launched in October 2022 when Chris and Cheryl Smith and their family moved to the south Denver area with a heart to plant a church that would equip ordinary believers to live extraordinary lives for Jesus. God then gathered an amazing team of people, who love Jesus, care deeply for people and caught the vision to reach this community.
We were planted out of Redemption City Church in Westminster CO, where to heart to reach every nation gave them the passion to send 'their people' out, to plant churches in communities all over the world.
We continue to partner with Redemption City and other churches in the Denver area, as well as churches across the globe walking with an Apostolic/Prophetic team called New Covenant Ministries International to fulfill Jesus' great commission.

Chris & Cheryl enjoy their weekly dates together, trying out brunch spots and keeping their marriage strong. They also love spending time with their 2 boys, with one playing college football and the other stepping into the acting and performance world.
Alistair & Valeta Baty
Elder/Pastor
Alistair & Valeta enjoy time with their girls, going on trips together, visiting their family and getting out to the nations. Their passion for music also fills every part of their home, as they host worship and teaching times in their home regularly.
Logan & Beth Moody
Elder/Pastor
Logan and Beth enjoy time with their 2 boys, biking, family and investing in people. Logan is quite gifted as a teacher and can truly open up the scriptures as he ministers, with Beth carrying a strong prophetic gifting and passion for seeing lives changed through the power of prayer.
Mario & Selene Portillo

Mario and Selene love hosting people in their home, from celebrating family occasions, to hosting the annual Christmas party, earning the nickname 'Partytillos'! They enjoy time with their 3 kids and help to make sure our times together as a church make everyone feel like they're welcome and are 'home'.
Patrick & Samantha Carey

Patrick and Samantha enjoy time with their 3 girls, as well as simply sitting and speaking 'life' into people. They have a passion to see the lost saved, especially those that have found themselves in 'bondage' to exploitation. They have a dream to plant a church in their future, so that the Gospel can reach even more souls.
Gaelen Baty

Gaelen is a teacher, worship leader and has a passion for investing in young people. Like her family, she's also quite a marvel on multiple instruments. She has a real heart for helping other churches, volunteering her time and talents to be a blessing whenever the opportunity arises.
Hannah Baty

Hannah is a music teacher and also performs often with local choirs, still sharing her gifts whenever the opportunity arises. She has a true gift for worship, allowing the Holy Spirit to lead the way, which truly brings hope and freedom to so many.
